Mel Easter Principal

Mel has been nearly a “lifer” at Johnson Braund.  Upon graduation from Washington State University in 1979, he went to work for a large housing developer in the Puget Sound region.  That position was short-lived when the economy turned south at the end of that same year.  He joined the JBDG staff in December of 1979 and, as they say, the rest is history.   Mel became a partner in 1986 and has had opportunity to observe, plan and participate in a variety of exciting and successful ventures, both personal and professional.      

The JBDG Corporation purchased their present office in Tukwila with the intent of making this their permanent “home” for many years to come.  The business philosophy continues to be providing quality work, with quality staff for quality clients.  Personal, responsive service continues to be the hallmark of our success and the mantra that Mel works on a daily basis!    

When not at the office, Mel enjoys spending his available free-times with his wife Wendy and their two sons Caleb and Braden and their dog Charlie.  2006 is a big year for the Easter family as Mel and Wendy celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary – WOW.  In addition, Caleb graduated from WSU and Braden graduated from Life Christian Academy.  As it happens, Mel is also celebrating his 50th birthday.  The fact is, they have so much to celebrate, you may not find Mel in his office as much as usual.

Fun Fact: Mel’s favorite hobbies are travel, golf, and fishing (in that order).
