Scott Stidell Housing Studio

Scott has been with JBDG, Inc. for nearly three years, and in the profession for since the mid 90's. After a stint away from school working with kids and coaching basketball (two 8th grade Seattle city championships), Scott returned to the University of Washington and graduated from the College of Architecture and Urban Planning in 1996. Prior to working here Scott spent seven years with a Houston-based architectural firm (though thankfully never having to live there). His projects included working with Federal agencies throughout the West from Alaska to Colorado--primarily with the Department of Justice and US Border Patrol. Nothing like spending a week in a trailer in Beaver Creek, Yukon!

As you know Scott is a member of the Housing studio . . . sometimes his work in Housing has been the Mission Square condominiums in Richland, and in Hospitality two hotels--Paso Robles Courtyard by Marriott (currently under construction), the Marriott Residence Inn Oceanside, as well as various Marriott prototypes.

Scott's hobbies include traveling, cooking, reading and sports, particularly college football. How's this for dedication - he hasn't missed a single UW home game since 1978. Scott also spends a lot of time in airports across the Midwest on his way to and from South Carolina to visit his girlfriend and eat barbecue. Scott is a fifth-generation Seattle native.

Fun Fact: Arkansas is the only state Scott hasn't been to.
