Results

We are quite pleased with our progress. So far we've reduced our energy consumption by nearly 2/3rd's - in two years of effort. Also in that time, we've cut our facility's water consumption by well over 90%. As we start closing in on net-zero, by recommisioning our systems, investing in more efficient devices, and increasing our on-site production, we will make sure to keep you informed of our progress. Below is our energy consumption for the past 2 1/2 years:

  • June 2007 - June. 2010 reduction: 73.8%
  • EPA Site Energy Intensity - 36.0 kBtu/Sq. Ft (national average, 66)
  • Site Energy Intensity (metric)- 99.8 kWh/sq meter/year
  • Cost per sq. ft annually: $0.74 (national average $1.25)
